A man, aged 65, extensively researched how to carry out a gruesome act against his partner, drawing inspiration from a famous murder nearly a century old, according to investigators.
The man is believed to have crafted various fake online personas to deceive young women, pretending to be athletic individuals to entice them, before escalating his actions.
Allegedly, he meticulously planned the murder of his partner, then proceeded to dismember her body and discard the remains in a suitcase left at a bus station, where CCTV footage captured him.
His criminal history includes a prior conviction for the death of his mother in 2018, despite his denial of the act. He confessed to concealing her body, claiming she had taken her own life, possibly driven by a substantial sum from her life insurance policy.
Following a spree of deceitful interactions, he selected his partner as the target, drawing inspiration from a historic murder in São Paulo in 1928, where a man murdered and dismembered his wife. Attempts to access funds from his partner’s account suggest a monetary motive behind the violent act.
Using his partner’s phone, he deceived her family into believing she was alive, perpetuating falsehoods about her location. Described as having a psychopathic profile, the man exhibited high levels of intelligence and education, with a penchant for meticulous and calculated planning, as stated by the Civil Police of Rio Grande do Sul.
The suspect employed deceptive tactics, including disguises and false clues, to mislead investigators and evade detection of his crimes. While he utilized AI to fabricate fake profiles for potential victims, it remains undisclosed if the victim in question was connected through his online deception.
The victim’s dismembered torso was discovered in a suitcase at a bus station, with body parts scattered in different locations. In an attempt to conceal his identity, the man wore a cap, mask, glasses, and gloves during the disposal of the body.
