Must read

Gmail users are in for a treat as Google announces a new feature that will simplify managing subscriptions and declutter overflowing inboxes. The upcoming “Manage subscriptions” function will allow users to easily track active subscriptions and the frequency of messages received from various companies.

With this new feature, users can swiftly unsubscribe from unwanted subscriptions with just a single tap, eliminating the hassle of manual unsubscribing processes. Once initiated, Gmail will handle the unsubscribe request on behalf of the user.

Google emphasized the common issue of being inundated with subscription emails, such as daily deal alerts, irrelevant newsletters, and outdated promotional emails. The tech giant aims to address this challenge with the “Manage subscriptions” feature, enabling users to efficiently unsubscribe from unwanted emails all within one centralized location.

To access this feature, users can navigate to the top-left corner of their inbox and select “Manage subscriptions.” The roll-out of the subscription management feature is currently underway on web, Android, and iOS platforms in select countries.

In addition to empowering users with enhanced control over their email preferences, Google highlights its robust email security measures. The company boasts blocking over 99.9% of spam, phishing, and malware, with recent AI-based defenses reducing scam emails by 35%.

Through these updates, Google seeks to streamline the email management experience for Gmail users while reinforcing email security protocols.
