Experts Warn Western Nations to Distance from Iran amid Rising Dissident Movement

Must read

Britain and other Western nations are being urged by experts to distance themselves from Iran. The call comes as senior Iranian dissidents anticipate a widespread and democratic uprising to overthrow the ruling Mullah regime established in 1979. These dissidents believe that a growing rebel movement composed of around 20,000 covert cells could bring down the Islamic Republic of Iran and its enforcers, the Revolutionary Guard Corps, potentially sparking a revolution in the coming months.

The rebel movement is believed to be expanding rapidly, with each secretive cell housing sometimes over 10 rebels. It is estimated that there could be as many as 100,000 or more members of these rebel units, who may even acquire arms if necessary. These cells operate independently, maintaining secrecy and limited knowledge of other cells. Some experts suggest that the number of individuals joining the MEK (People’s Mujahideen Organization of Iran) has increased in recent times.

Despite the risks of public execution and burial in unmarked graves, dissidents are increasingly taking to the streets to protest against the oppressive Ayatollah regime. Dr. Majid Sadeghpour, an Iranian exile residing in the U.S. and the political director of the Organization of Iranian American Communities, warns that the regime is facing imminent collapse and resorting to heightened repression tactics, such as increased executions and arrests, to maintain control.

The current Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, holds significant authority over state policies, the military, and the judicial system. The regime has a history of violence and brutality, surpassing even the previous Shah’s era, with ongoing executions and torture.

Dr. Sadeghpour emphasizes that negotiating with the Iranian regime is unlikely to yield positive results, as the regime’s fundamental nature is violent and resistant to change. He highlights the urgent need for a shift in global policy towards Iran, given its support for terrorism, nuclear activities, and human rights abuses.

While some experts question the popularity of the rebel groups within Iranian society, Dr. Sadeghpour asserts that grassroots support is essential for the survival of these secretive units. Despite differing opinions on the potential outcomes, the situation in Iran remains volatile, with the possibility of an armed uprising looming on the horizon.
