“Energy Expert Reveals Ideal Home Heating Temperature to Prevent Mould”

Must read

A specialist in energy matters has shared the specific temperature that is recommended to heat your home to prevent the growth of mould.

Mould is a common issue that can lead to severe health problems if not addressed. It develops due to excessive moisture and is typically found on walls and ceilings.

To prevent the proliferation of mould in your living space, there are steps you can take. Ben Gallizzi, an energy expert at Uswitch.com, has highlighted the recommended temperature range to inhibit mould spores.

Speaking to The Sun, he stated, “Maintaining a warm environment in your home can prevent mould growth, especially during the colder months. The Energy Saving Trust advises individuals in good health to keep their homes heated between 18 and 21 degrees Celsius.”

Furthermore, it is essential to ensure that the temperature in your home does not fall below 15 degrees Celsius to prevent condensation. Condensation occurs when warm air comes into contact with a cold surface.
