Emilia Clarke ‘splits from DJ boyfriend Bassi Fox after realising something wasn’t right’

Must read

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has split from her boyfriend Sebastian ‘Bassi’ Fox after a four-month romance, it has been claimed.

The 38-year-old actress and the DJ have decided to end their time together after realising “something wasn’t quite right” between them, reports state. A source said their split has been “bruising”, but they hope to stay friends and says there are “no hard feelings” between them.

The former couple were first seen out together in London back in November as they went out for dinner together. Writing on Instagram she told her 28.2 million followers: “Well that’s reassuring.. birthdays a month later never tasted so good.” But it seems like it’s all over.

“Emilia and Seb aren’t together anymore. They had a fun time, but something just wasn’t quite right between them – they gave it a good go but, in the end. they realised that perhaps they aren’t the right fit for each other,” the source told The Sun. “She has told her mates that they want to try and stay friends.”

Mirror Online has contacted Emilia reps for comment. Last summer, she opened up about how worried she was that show bosses might not think she was good enough when she came back to work after two brain injuries. She said her insecurities “quadrupled” after she suffered haemorrhages in 2011 and 2013. She told the Big Issue about her difficulties in returning to play Daenerys Targaryen in the hit series.

Emilia said: “When you have a brain injury, it alters your sense of self on such a dramatic level, all of the insecurities you have going into the workplace quadruple overnight. The first fear we all had was, ‘Oh my God, am I going to get fired? Am I going to get fired because they think I’m not capable of completing the job?”’

After recovering from her injuries, Emilia and her mother, Jenny, set up the SameYou charity to help people with brain injuries. They were made MBEs earlier this year. SameYou is now working with the Big Issue to help brain injury survivors return to work.

A survey of 327 survivors found that of those who returned to work, 37% said they did not feel ready. More than a quarter felt pressure from their employer to return to work while 19% rated the support from their employer as “poor”.
