“Deputy PM Condemns ‘Racist’ Remarks on TalkTV”

Must read

Nigel Farage has seemed to share David Lammy’s view that the language used by a member of the Reform party is outdated. Acting in place of Keir Starmer during a session of PMQs, the Deputy Prime Minister criticized the “racist” remarks made by Sarah Pochin on TalkTV last month.

During a call-in segment, MP Ms. Pochin from Runcorn and Helsby expressed frustration at seeing advertisements featuring non-white individuals. David Lammy condemned her language, stating it was antiquated.

Mr. Lammy criticized the Reform MP’s comments, stating they were inappropriate and out of touch. Nigel Farage appeared to support this sentiment. The discussion arose from a question posed by Labour MP Tristan Osborne regarding the shortcomings of the Reform-led council in Kent.

Ms. Pochin later apologized for any offense caused by her remarks about diversity in advertisements, clarifying that her words were poorly chosen but maintaining her belief that many ads do not accurately represent British society.
