There could be another exit set to air soon on Coronation Street, amid recent cast news.
Amid a number of exits teased and confirmed by the show, there were hints of yet another Weatherfield resident leaving the soap for good on Wednesday night. Just days on from the horrific murder of teenager Mason Radcliffe on the ITV soap, fellow teen Dylan Wilson sparked fears he would be sent to prison.
Mason had been stabbed and killed by his own brothers Logan and Matty on Monday, but the knife used belonged to Dylan. Dylan was just trying to scare off the brothers but they took it, before attacking Mason.
On Wednesday Dylan was struggling with recent events, and he admitted to his father Sean Tully that the zombie knife used belonged to him. Sean was disgusted, but his son soon told him he needed to flee Weatherfield for good.
Convinced the police would link the blade to him, he told his dad what happened to Mason before he began packing his bag. As Sean tried to make him see sense, Dylan said he had to get away before the police came knocking.
It’s then that Sean vowed to help his son and told him to stay at home, while he went out to find some cash. But Sean’s real agenda was soon revealed as the worried dad returned with some big news.
Sean had raced to the police station and told detective Kit Green everything. Sean and Kit soon headed to the flat where a stunned Dylan realised he’d been exposed.
Kit arrested the teen on suspicion of murder, taking him down to the station for questioning. Dylan pleaded with Kit to realise that while the knife did belong to him, he did not use it.
As Kit accused him of being Mason’s real killer, suggesting he attacked him during a fight, Dylan revealed the true events. Kit didn’t seem convinced, seemingly accusing Dylan instead of listening to him, and there was a worrying realisation.
Kit warned him that even if he had not used the blade, he had been at and left a crime scene and had carried a bladed article. Dylan then asked Kit if he was going to prison regardless of whether he’s charged with the murder of not, with Kit not saying anything but sharing a look as if to suggest he was right. So is this Dylan’s exit from the show?
