“Boots Expands On-Demand Delivery to 500+ UK Locations”

Must read

Boots has extended its on-demand delivery service to nearly 500 locations throughout the United Kingdom. The rapid delivery system, facilitated by Deliveroo and Uber Eats, ensures that items reach customers’ doorsteps within just 30 minutes, significantly reducing the previous delivery time. This service, previously accessible at only 250 stores, now offers over 10,000 health and beauty products for swift delivery, including essential items like cold and flu remedies, baby formula, and last-minute gifts such as perfumes and beauty products.

Customers can easily check if their local Boots store provides this service by using the Uber Eats and Deliveroo mobile applications. Once an order is placed, dedicated couriers swiftly pick, prepare, and deliver the items in secure packaging. Currently, on-demand delivery is available until midnight in ten London stores, with plans for further expansion across the UK in the near future. Boots initially collaborated with Deliveroo in 2021 and later broadened the service to include Uber Eats in 2023.

In addition to the partnership with Deliveroo and Uber Eats, Boots also offers on-demand delivery through Just Eat in selected stores. The company’s Chief Data and Digital Officer, Paula Bobbett, highlighted the convenience and popularity of this service, emphasizing the importance of modern retailers adapting to customers’ fast-paced lifestyles. Suzy McClintock, VP of New Verticals at Deliveroo, expressed excitement about the extended partnership with Boots, providing more customers nationwide with swift access to a wide range of quality products.

Uber UK General Manager, Grocery and Retail, Katie Hunter, emphasized the positive impact of the collaboration with Boots in enhancing the delivery platform’s offerings. The partnership aims to cater to the increasing demand for health, beauty, and wellness essentials through quick and efficient delivery services. This innovative approach reflects the growing trend of one-tap ordering for everyday needs, showcasing the integration of convenience into daily life.
