But one thing that has once again caught the public’s attention is Barron Trump‘s towering height. The son of Donald and Melania Trump was thrust into the limelight last year before his father was officially declared US President for a second term.
Many campaign followers were often left gobsmacked by the 18-year-old’s stature, as he frequently stood head and shoulders above his father on stage. Following this week’s inauguration, Barron’s height has become a talking point yet again, but for an entirely different reason.
It appears there was a slight seating mishap at the historic event, and people were quick to pick up on it.
A TikTok user known as overtimemegan highlighted the moment by posting a clip online. In the video, it’s clear to see a smaller woman seated directly behind Barron Trump, with his tall frame completely obstructing her view.
Over the clip, Megan wrote: “Nobody having a worse day than this woman who had a prime spot until 6ft 7in Barron Trump took his seat.”
Upon closer inspection, you can see her view is entirely blocked by Barron’s broad shoulders, leaving viewers in stitches over the seating faux pas. The video has racked up over 50,000 views since it was posted, with hundreds of amused comments.
One person quipped: “This is freaking hilarious.” Another added: “Saw that too!”
Another commenter simply wrote: “Lol.” Someone else chimed in, saying: “She can only see the ceiling.”
There’s allegedly been confusion surrounding Barron’s height due to his father publicly stating different measurements. However, it’s believed he stands at an impressive 6ft 7in, significantly taller than Trump himself.
Barron speaks both English and Slovenian, and he spent his childhood living in the family’s luxurious Manhattan penthouse. Unlike Trump’s older children – Trump Jr, Ivanka, Eric and Tiffany – who played more prominent roles in his presidency, Barron has only recently entered the spotlight.
Reports suggest he was instrumental in advising his father on appearances for podcasts and YouTube channels aimed at young males during his campaign. Amusingly, Melania affectionately refers to him as her “little Donald”, an ironic nickname given his towering height over his parents.
