“Author Claims Trump Revealed Romance with White House Aide”

Must read

In a recent claim by a well-known author, it was suggested that Donald Trump informed acquaintances of his intimate relationship with a 28-year-old White House aide. The author, Michael Wolff, shared this assertion in a draft of a book segment sent to Jeffrey Epstein in 2019.

The mentioned assistant was identified as Madeleine Westerhout. Denying the claims made in Wolff’s email, Westerhout described them as baseless and detached from reality. This email disclosure was part of a substantial collection of documents handed over to Congress by Epstein’s estate.

The draft detailed Trump’s choice to remain at the White House during the 2018 holiday season instead of going to his Mar A Lago resort in Florida with his family. Although First Lady Melania Trump had initially traveled to Florida, she returned briefly to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Washington, DC.

According to the edited text in Wolff’s book ‘Siege,’ it was mentioned that Trump’s secretary, Madeleine Westerhout, brought his documents and call sheets from the West Wing to the residence, where she found him in casual attire. Westerhout had been a longstanding member of Trump’s staff, previously working as an elevator attendant at Trump Tower.

Further in the draft, it was noted that Trump showed a particular interest in Westerhout, with Bannon recalling Trump’s repeated comments about her. The book questioned whether Trump’s statement about his reason for staying at the White House was related to the shutdown or his alleged involvement with Westerhout.

Responding through her legal representative, Westerhout dismissed the accusations as false and defamatory, emphasizing the lack of truth in Wolff’s claims. In her 2020 book, Westerhout recounted her dismissal from the White House staff for making indiscreet remarks about the President’s family, without mentioning any romantic involvement.

President Trump dismissed the release of the documents as a distraction orchestrated by Democrats, labeling it a “hoax” and a “scam.” He expressed this view on his social media platform, emphasizing his belief that the focus should be on border security and the government shutdown.

During the Christmas holiday events in 2018, Melania Trump returned from Mar a Lago to participate in activities at the White House, including talking to children tracking Santa’s flight. A reported interaction between Trump and a child during the event drew criticism from Melania, as detailed in Wolff’s book.
