Alton Towers Resort has revealed plans for the world’s inaugural Bluey coaster, slated to debut at CBeebies Land.
The upcoming junior coaster will be inspired by the popular TV show Bluey, which has captivated audiences globally since its launch in Australia in 2018. The endearing adventures of the Australian dog family have charmed both young and old viewers, with Bluey and her sister Bingo bringing joy to families.
The award-winning Bluey series, a top-rated show on CBeebies in the UK, has been streamed over 770 million times on BBC iPlayer.
Scheduled to bring Bluey’s vibrant spirit to fans and families in Spring 2026, the ride will complement Alton Towers Resort’s existing Bluey attractions, including family meet-and-greets and live shows.
The coaster’s introduction follows the debut of Bluey-themed hotel rooms in May 2024 as part of the resort’s CBeebies Land 10-year anniversary festivities.
After experiencing the Bluey coaster, visitors can stay in themed hotel rooms that replicate Bluey and Bingo’s bedroom.
Created by Joe Brumm and produced by Ludo Studio for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and BBC Studios Kids & Family, Bluey joins a roster of exciting rides at CBeebies Land.
CBeebies Land features attractions like Hey Duggee Big Adventure Badge, Andy’s Adventures Dinosaur Dig, JoJo & Gran Gran At Home, Go Jetters Vroomster Zoom ride, In the Night Garden Magical Boat Ride, Something Special Sensory Garden, and Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure.
Sabrina de Carvalho, senior vice president at Merlin Entertainments, expressed enthusiasm about the new Bluey coaster, stating it will be the first of its kind globally. Details and the launch date are yet to be revealed, but the coaster is expected to embody Bluey’s boundless energy.
Alton Towers’ latest ride, Toxicator, lifts riders 78ft high, spins them in darkness, and suspends them face down over a pool of alien slime, offering an exhilarating experience for thrill-seekers.
