“Freeview Launches TLC Channel, Expands Entertainment Options”

Must read

In a recent development, Freeview homes have received a significant enhancement to their entertainment options. A new channel has just been launched this week, which was previously exclusive to premium TV services like Sky and Virgin Media. This upgrade allows Freeview viewers to enjoy TLC, a channel known for reality shows, comedy, and movies.

TLC is renowned for popular reality programs such as Dr Pimple Popper and Say Yes To The Dress, but it is now diversifying its content with a broader range of shows including sitcoms and blockbuster films.

Following this update, Freeview users will have access to well-liked series like The Big Bang Theory, Mock the Week, and Young Sheldon. Additionally, movie enthusiasts can anticipate blockbuster titles like Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Freeview has shared that TLC is now available on channel 12, although some households may need to retune their devices to access it. Alongside TLC’s arrival, there will be a slight channel reshuffle: Quest will shift from Ch12 to Ch17 to accommodate TLC, and Really will move from Ch17 to Ch44.

However, not all news is positive as Freeview has announced the closure of HGTV, resulting in the removal of programs such as My Lottery Dream Home, Celebrity IOU, and Building Alaska from the platform. Other channels like HGTV, God TV, and India Today will also cease operations.

The latest changes include the introduction of new channels: TLC on Ch12 and TLC+1 on Ch99, along with channel moves for Quest to Ch17 and Really to Ch44. Furthermore, HGTV, God TV, and India Today will be discontinued.
