“Sky Cinema Animation Channel Merges with Sky Cinema Family”

Must read

Sky subscribers who enjoy movie marathons are in for a change as the broadcasting company is set to merge Sky Cinema Animation (channel 312) with Sky Cinema Family on April 30. This move aims to streamline the service by consolidating family-friendly films into a single destination on channel 304.

Following the merger, viewers can access popular titles like the Shrek series, The Secret Life of Pets, Smurfs, How to Train Your Dragon, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Wicked in one place. Despite one less channel available, all content previously shown on Sky Cinema Animation will still be accessible through Sky Cinema Family.

For fans of Sky Cinema Animation, there is a silver lining. Although the standalone channel is being phased out, it will make a temporary return during school holiday periods to entertain children. The channel will be available from July 24 to August 30, October 23 to November 1, and December 1 to January 5.

In other news, Sky has ventured into the home security market with the introduction of new smart devices. Customers can subscribe to a Sky Smart Doorbell and Chime for £5 per month with a £15 upfront fee. This system offers features like full HD video recording, instant mobile alerts, customisable activity zones, two-way audio, and 30 days of cloud video storage.

For those seeking additional functionalities, Sky is presenting a Smart Home Bundle with Smart Home Plan+ for £8 per month and a £20 upfront charge. This bundle includes an indoor camera and extra app controls, such as scheduled arming and automatic device modes.

Paul Sweeney, the Managing Director of Sky Smart Home, emphasized the company’s commitment to making premium smart technology more accessible. Sky has focused on delivering features that customers value the most while ensuring ease of use, manageability, and affordability.
