“Joshua and Fury Fight Negotiations Reach Advanced Stage”

Must read

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury’s highly anticipated fight is drawing closer as Eddie Hearn has confirmed that negotiations are now in an advanced stage.

Joshua is gearing up for a comeback in July following his impressive victory over Jake Paul in December, which was followed by a car accident shortly after. The British boxer has been training with Oleksandr Usyk, a former rival turned friend, and recently made his first public appearance in the UK since the accident at Derek Chisora’s match against Deontay Wilder.

Shortly after, Joshua attended Fury’s fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham. After Fury’s victory, he immediately called for a match with Joshua, who hesitated to commit to the long-awaited showdown.

Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, provided an optimistic update, stating that Joshua is looking to return to the ring in the upcoming months before facing Fury in two bouts, which are expected to be broadcast on DAZN and Netflix.

Hearn dismissed rumors of the fight potentially taking place in Dublin at Croke Park, emphasizing that the fight’s location will be determined by Turki Alalshikh’s preference. He highlighted that the funding for the fight will come from Alalshikh and expressed hope that the historic event will take place in the UK.

Regarding the fight promotion, Hearn mentioned that the first match is likely to be promoted by Sela, with the possibility of the second fight being featured on Netflix. However, final decisions are pending discussions with Alalshikh.
