“Putin’s Secretive Love Life: Inner Circle Appointments Raise Eyebrows”

Must read

Russian President Vladimir Putin has been linked romantically to Alina Kabaeva since around 2008, though no official confirmation of their relationship exists. Recent reports suggest that Putin has appointed around 20 members of his inner circle, including former lovers, to key positions in the Russian government and state-run enterprises.

Despite being a prominent global figure, Putin maintains a secretive personal life, especially concerning his alleged partner, Alina Kabaeva. Kabaeva, a celebrated gymnast with an impressive medal record, is rumored to have two sons with Putin, Ivan and Vladimir (junior), who lead a privileged yet secluded lifestyle.

Allegedly one of Russia’s wealthiest women, Kabaeva owns a substantial property portfolio estimated at over £81.85 million. Reports indicate that she received financial benefits from entities linked to Putin even before their speculated relationship was publicized. Kabaeva transitioned from being a pro-Putin MP to overseeing a pro-Kremlin media group, earning a substantial annual income.

Critics claim that taxpayer funds support Kabaeva’s opulent lifestyle, citing her extravagant properties allegedly gifted by Putin’s associates with ties to government contracts. Despite her significant wealth, Kabaeva’s assets are shielded through various proxies and offshore entities, raising questions about her financial transparency.

While Putin officially divorced his first wife, Lyudmila Aleksandrovna Ocheretnaya, he reportedly goes to great lengths to shield Kabaeva and their sons from public scrutiny. Kabaeva is said to reside in Putin’s heavily guarded Valdai palace, away from prying eyes.

Although rumors of Putin’s relationship with Kabaeva surfaced in 2008, Putin vehemently denied them, emphasizing his right to privacy. Independent media outlets continued investigating the alleged relationship, uncovering details such as a private railway used by Kabaeva for visits to Putin’s Valdai retreat.

Unlike Putin, Kabaeva has been more open about her personal life, expressing admiration for an unnamed “great man” on a children’s TV show. Her candid remarks contrast with Putin’s guarded approach, highlighting the disparity in their public personas.
