Delhi police officials are actively investigating the cause of the car explosion, as confirmed by AK Malik, Deputy Chief Fire Officer of New Delhi’s Fire Department. The official response to the blast near Chandni Chowk Metro Station involved immediate deployment of seven units to control the fire, which was successfully managed by 7:29 PM. Authorities are assessing the possibility of casualties as their teams continue to oversee the situation.

Situated near the iconic Red Fort, the Red Fort metro station is a popular tourist spot, attracting a considerable number of visitors due to its historical significance and proximity to the fort itself, which drew around 2.9 million tourists last year.
