A young girl has disappeared from a countryside village in Devon after she was last spotted entering a vehicle on Halloween.

Authorities are calling for any witnesses to step forward if they have seen her and express growing worry for Rosie, who went missing after entering a Vauxhall Astra five days ago. The teenager has connections to the Taunton and Bridgwater regions and was last sighted in Holcombe Rogus, a rural village in Devon, just before 5 pm. Avon and Somerset Police have initiated an immediate search for the schoolgirl, urging anyone with information on her location to reach out.

Described as white, Rosie is approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall with straight brown hair.

Avon and Somerset Police stated: “Can you assist us in locating missing Rosie, 15, who was last seen entering a blue Vauxhall Astra in Holcombe Rogus around 4:45 pm on Friday, October 31st. We are increasingly concerned about her well-being. If you have any information on Rosie’s whereabouts, please dial 999 and provide reference 5225308184.”

Concerned members of the public have expressed their distress for the 15-year-old, whose missing persons appeal is being shared on local Facebook groups. One user expressed, “I hope she returns home to her family safe and sound soon,” while another commented, “I hope she is located promptly or goes to a police station.” A third individual wrote, “Please return home safely.”

Holcombe Rogus is recognized as a tranquil and rural community in Devon with a close-knit population. The vicinity comprises rural farmlands, the Grand Western Canal, and the Blackdown Hills.

The town is situated about a 35-minute drive from Taunton and approximately 50 minutes from Bridgewater, areas where Rosie has known connections.
