Chilling text messages have unveiled the confusion and alarm surrounding the night of Martha Nolan’s tragic death on a yacht in New York.
Nolan had visited the Montauk Yacht Club in the Hamptons on August 5 to meet with wealthy insurance executive Christopher Durnan. Their meeting was centered around discussing financial support for her fashion brand. According to reports from New York Magazine, Durnan suggested a discussion on additional funding if needed.
Following their departure from the dock on a fishing boat to enjoy champagne and watch the sunset, Nolan suddenly ceased communication with her friends, prompting concern. Utilizing the Find My app, they tracked her phone location, which indicated it was somewhere in the Atlantic. A dark joke was made by one friend speculating on Nolan’s whereabouts.
After about ten minutes of silence, Nolan responded, stating she was at the yacht club with her phone on. Tragically, that was the final communication from her before being discovered unresponsive on a friend’s yacht approximately an hour later. Simultaneously, witnesses reported seeing Durnan running unclothed along the dock, calling for aid and tossing sunscreen at a nearby boat.
Law enforcement was alerted close to midnight, initiating an investigation into the events leading up to Nolan’s passing. Concerns have been raised by friends regarding Durnan’s actions, particularly his nudity, which raised suspicions about Nolan’s well-being.
Durnan’s attorney, Robert Holdman, explained that Durnan disrobed due to his clothes being soaked in Nolan’s vomit during a business discussion on the yacht’s deck.
