Must read

A dreadful incident unfolded during a teenager’s outing with her stepfather in Siberia, Russia. Olga Moskalyova, 19, was on a leisurely walk by the river with her stepdad, Igor Tsyganenkov, when they encountered a fierce bear, turning their peaceful day into a nightmare. While speaking to her mother on the phone, Olga and Igor were attacked by wild bears, with Olga’s mother hearing the terrifying events as they transpired.

In a panic, Olga described the attack to her mother before the call abruptly ended. Initially, the bear attacked Igor, followed by the mother bear pursuing Olga and catching her leg after a 70-yard chase. Despite the brutal attack, Olga managed to contact her mother multiple times for help, screaming about the excruciating pain she was enduring.

Initially dismissing it as a prank, Olga’s mother, Tatiana, soon realized the severity of the situation upon hearing the sounds of the bear attacking her daughter. Tatiana recounted the harrowing moment when she recognized the reality of the situation, expressing her shock and horror. Throughout the ordeal, Olga continued to call her mother until her final call, conveying poignant last words.

Tatiana tearfully shared Olga’s final words, expressing her love and seeking forgiveness before succumbing to her injuries. The police were notified, and hunters were deployed to locate and eliminate the bears, who were found still feeding on Olga’s remains. Described as a vibrant and friendly young girl with a promising future, Olga was mourned by her community.

The incident shed light on the increasing frequency of bear attacks in Russia, especially in regions where wildlife encroaches on human territories in search of food. Tragically, both Olga and her stepfather were laid to rest on the same day following the grievous bear attack in 2011.
