A 28-year-old woman was discovered deceased in her shower, suspected to have experienced an electric shock possibly due to a faulty heater.
Solange Samantha Rizzetto, who had just finished her work shift, returned to her residence in Novellara, located in the province of Reggio Emilia in northern Italy. Upon entering the shower around 3 am on the night between October 26 and October 27, her grandmother found her lifeless on the floor.
Emergency services promptly responded to the scene and initiated an investigation, focusing on a small heater near the shower. It was reported that the woman’s body obstructed the drain, leading to minor flooding inside the bathroom.
While the suspicion is that she might have been electrocuted, authorities have ordered an autopsy to confirm the cause of death and determine if she suffered a sudden illness before the tragic incident. Experts are examining the heater and the entire electrical system of the property to ascertain the presence of any faults or compliance with safety standards.
Family members mentioned that the heater was turned off at the time, suggesting the possibility of a short circuit or a sudden illness resulting in her collapse. Furthermore, Solange’s grandmother reportedly experienced a mild electric shock while attempting to shut off the water flow.
The farmhouse, originally purchased by Solange’s father, is under scrutiny to validate the presence of a circuit breaker designed to cut power during electrical malfunctions. Born in Havana, Cuba, Solange moved to Italy at a young age.
She was employed as a waitress at a restaurant managed by her brother-in-law and had returned home after her shift before the unfortunate incident.
