“Mystery Surrounds Disappearance of Nova Scotia Siblings”

Must read

For half a year now, siblings Jack, 4, and Lilly Sullivan, 6, have been missing without a trace after disappearing from their bedroom.

The young children vanished from their rural residence in Lansdowne Station, Pictou County, Nova Scotia, on May 2, 2025. Their mother, Malehya Brooks-Murray, notified authorities when she realized that her kids were no longer in the house they shared with her, stepfather Daniel Martell, and younger sister Meadow.

According to reports, the mother heard Jack and Lilly playing in another room around 10 am, but when she checked on them later, they were nowhere to be found. It is believed that they exited through the patio door.

A thorough search was conducted for the missing Canadian children, and inquiries were made. A local resident, Brad Wong, mentioned hearing a noisy vehicle near the residence in the early morning of May 2.

In legal documents, RCMP Corporal Charlene Curl detailed Wong’s observation of vehicle lights beyond the treetops from his elevated position compared to Martell’s residence.

Wong described the vehicle leaving and returning multiple times during the night. Another neighbor, Justin Smith, also mentioned hearing a vehicle near the railroad tracks around 1:30 am, which he later confirmed was associated with Martell.

Martell informed authorities that he went to bed early and only woke up the next morning. He stated that no one left the house, and there were no visitors on that particular day.

Meanwhile, Malehya mentioned that Martell claimed to have stayed up cleaning, but she was unsure as the house did not appear cleaned when she woke up.

Despite extensive efforts, Jack and Lilly remain missing, leaving their family in anguish.

In a heartfelt message shared on Facebook, Malehya expressed her deep love for her children and the pain of not being able to reunite with them.

As speculations circulate, authorities still believe that the children wandered away from home. Sergeant Rob McCamon affirmed that the case is being treated as a missing persons investigation with no indication of criminal involvement at present.

The search efforts continue, with a major operation planned for November 15 to locate Jack and Lilly, especially with the approaching colder weather. Volunteers, coordinated by the Canadian organization Please Bring Me Home, will participate in the search.

Although not typically involved in missing persons cases, Please Bring Me Home is keen to provide assistance in this instance. Executive director Nick Oldrieve expressed their commitment to aiding in the search before winter sets in, emphasizing their previous successful search missions.
