An American mother, dubbed the “worst ever,” has been arrested and charged with sexual assault for allegedly giving birth to a child with her daughter’s 14-year-old school dance partner. Robyn Polston, aged 43, was apprehended by the Washington Police Department on 3 November. Court records indicate that she stands accused of delivering a baby in January, with the child’s father believed to be her daughter’s teenage acquaintance.
Polston is facing two charges of criminal sexual assault involving a victim between the ages of 13 and 17, along with two counts of possessing child pornography. In the event of a conviction, she could potentially receive a maximum sentence of 15 years for each offense. Currently, she is held in custody without bail and is scheduled for arraignment next month, having not yet entered a plea.
Following a tip received post-birth, authorities initiated an investigation, obtaining the baby’s birth certificate on 13 February. Notably, the infant shared the same middle and last name as the alleged victim. When questioned about the father’s identity, Polston claimed it was a man named Brian in his twenties, who had purportedly disappeared post-birth.
Subsequently, DNA samples were collected from Polston, the baby, and the teenager. Results confirmed that the boy and Polston were indeed the biological parents. Investigators discovered that Polston had supervised a school dance attended by the teen and her daughter in May 2023.
A search conducted on Google accounts linked to the teenager’s mobile phone revealed explicit images and videos involving Polston and the minor. Assistant State’s Attorney Cassandra Mullikin reviewed the material, concluding that Polston was responsible for capturing the images.
Allegations suggest that Polston and the minor utilized burner phones, stored under false names, to communicate and attempted to conceal evidence of their relationship. Prosecutors have requested that she remain in custody until trial, citing concerns about her compliance with orders and potential contact with the teenager.
Polston is expected to stay in jail until her court appearance on 4 December.
