“Sky TV to Discontinue Sky Live Product, Users to Receive Refunds”

Must read

Sky TV users will soon bid farewell to the recently launched Sky Live product, as it is set to be discontinued starting next month. Introduced in 2023, Sky Live was praised as an innovative entertainment device tailored to enhance TV usage. The gadget, designed to connect with Sky’s Glass TV, boasted features like motion sensors and a built-in camera for interactive engagement on the large screen.

For a monthly fee of £6, subscribers gained access to interactive games such as Fruit Ninja, Stingray Karaoke, and Peppa Pig: Jump and Giggle. Additionally, the device facilitated exercise monitoring during home fitness routines and allowed users to make Zoom calls and enjoy content like Sky Sports with friends and family via the camera.

Despite its promising features, Sky Live did not gain the anticipated popularity. Consequently, the plug will be pulled on December 4, rendering the device inoperable thereafter. While Sky Live will be discontinued, Sky assures customers that games like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire will still be available, albeit without an additional subscription.

A spokesperson from Sky emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. Sky Live’s discontinuation has provided valuable insights for future product development, particularly in the gaming realm. The focus remains on enhancing product simplicity, content quality, and customer service.

Impacted users will be notified via email this week, offering refunds and a convenient return process for the accessory through free postage. This move aligns with Sky’s dedication to delivering exceptional services and experiences to its customers.
