“Man Critical After Gasoline Attack; 2 Arrested”

A man is in critical condition after being reportedly drenched in gasoline and ignited, sustaining severe injuries.

The victim, aged in his 40s, was swiftly taken to a hospital following a severe assault that occurred in Co. Tipperary, Ireland, on Saturday evening. Subsequently, two individuals, both in their 20s, were apprehended shortly after the incident and are currently held in custody.

An official from the Irish police force, known as the gardai, stated, “Gardaí responded to reports of a serious assault at Knockane, Co. Tipperary shortly after 9 pm on Saturday, 11th October 2025.”

“The male victim in his 40s received on-site medical attention and was then transported by ambulance to Cork University Hospital with severe injuries.”

As per the Irish Mirror, the spokesperson also mentioned, “Two males, both in their 20s, were later arrested in connection with the investigation.”

“They are presently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda station in Co. Tipperary, while inquiries continue.”
