A teacher was reportedly blackmailed and sexually assaulted by a group of schoolboys who later burglarized and set fire to her apartment. The 28-year-old woman faced torment from seven teenagers, aged between 14 and 17, over an eight-month period from May 2024 to January 2025. The ordeal began after she entered a consensual relationship with a former 17-year-old student who was no longer attending the school.
According to court proceedings in Austria, the teenager disclosed the relationship to his friends, leading to a series of threats and harassment towards the teacher at her residence. The group, purportedly claiming affiliation with a criminal organization, coerced their way into her home and began exploiting it as a hub for drug storage. They allegedly subjected the woman to sexual assaults, blackmail, and financial exploitation.
The teenagers reportedly videotaped the assaults and extorted the teacher with threats of exposing the recordings to her school community. Fearing repercussions on her job, the woman endured the abuse in silence for several months. The situation worsened in January 2025 when three of the teens, aged 14 and 15, broke into her apartment, stole valuables, and set the place on fire.
Although the defendants have confessed to the burglary, they deny intentionally igniting the fire. Their legal representatives claim that the encounters were consensual, while refuting the sexual assault allegations. Prosecutors revealed that the gang, comprising around 70 to 80 members, shared videos of their criminal activities online. Evidence including phone records indicates a pattern of intimidation dating back to May 2024.
The teacher’s distress escalated to the point where she took sick leave at the beginning of the school year in September 2024 due to the alleged abuse. The situation deteriorated further by November with additional physical assaults and recorded incidents used for coercion. The trial is scheduled to proceed on October 15.
