Boxing icon Ricky Hatton, a former world welterweight and light-welterweight champion, will be laid to rest on Friday, October 10, following his tragic passing at the age of 46 in Hyde, Greater Manchester.

The details of the funeral procession for the British legend have been confirmed, starting from Gee Cross and proceeding through Hyde towards Manchester Cathedral and then to the Etihad Stadium, the home of Manchester City, a team Hatton deeply cherished.

The procession will begin at the Cheshire Cheese pub on Stockport Road, Hyde, around 9:45 am, making stops at various locations including Harehill Tavern, The New Inn where doves will be released, Hatton’s Gym, Hyde Town Hall, Betta Bodies Gym, and the AO Arena.

A private memorial service will take place at the cathedral at noon, followed by a visit to the Etihad Stadium where a touching tribute recently moved Hatton’s son, Campbell, before a game against Burnley.

While the memorial service is by invitation only, the public will have the opportunity to pay their respects as the funeral cortege proceeds to the cathedral.
