“Hikers Discover Two Deceased Women in Remote Victoria”

Must read

Hikers stumbled upon a grim discovery in a remote area, uncovering the lifeless bodies of two women. The unsettling find occurred near Lendenfeld Point in the alpine region of Victoria, Australia. Promptly, the hikers alerted authorities just before 1pm local time.

Swiftly responding to the call, Search and Rescue Squad and Air Wing officers conducted an investigation at the site. The identities of the deceased women remain undisclosed, with authorities suspecting they were in their twenties or thirties.

Victoria Police stated that the deaths do not raise suspicion and could be linked to a hiking excursion in the area. The bodies were found near the Cleve Cole Hut camping area, a popular spot in the Victoria highlands known for its hiking and skiing attractions during the Southern Hemisphere’s winter.

Appealing for public assistance, the police are seeking information to identify the women, as no missing person reports have been filed. Due to the secluded location and conditions, law enforcement will camp overnight at the scene.

The bodies are scheduled for removal the following day, as authorities confirmed that the women’s deaths are unrelated to the ongoing manhunt for Dezi Freeman, an alleged police assailant. Freeman evaded capture by fleeing into bushland after a fatal encounter with law enforcement officers at his residence.

Inquiries for comments have been made to Victoria Police by the Mirror.
