British Superbike Rider Grigor in Coma After Donington Crash

British Superbike rider Callum Grigor is currently in an induced coma after a frightening accident at Donington Park. The 27-year-old racer from Wishaw, Scotland, is in a serious condition following the incident during the Pirelli National Superstock Championship race over the weekend.

Grigor was thrown off his motorcycle as he approached Goddards Corner, leading to a collision with fellow rider Nathan Harrison from the Isle of Man. Prompt medical attention was provided on the track before Grigor was placed into a medically induced coma and promptly taken to the hospital.

In an official statement, British Superbike confirmed the details of the incident, mentioning that both Grigor and Harrison were promptly attended to by the BSB Medical Team. Grigor’s condition was deemed serious, necessitating immediate trackside intervention, including the induced coma, while Harrison received treatment for an isolated limb injury. Both riders were subsequently transferred to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham for further assessment and care.

Messages of support have flooded social media following the crash, with fans expressing their concerns and well wishes for both Nathan Harrison and Callum Grigor.
