Amazon has recently unveiled two new e-readers featuring color displays, providing a refreshing change from the traditional black and white e-ink screens. These new devices, the Kindle Colorsoft and the Kindle Colorsoft Kids, join the previously launched Colorsoft Signature Edition Kindle.
The Kindle Colorsoft boasts 16GB of storage, fast page turns, an adjustable warm light, long battery life, and full access to the Kindle bookstore. While it doesn’t have all the features of the Signature Edition, such as extra storage and wireless charging, it comes at a more affordable price of £239.99 compared to £269.99 for the Signature version.
Customers purchasing the new Kindle Colorsoft can receive a 20% discount by trading in their existing devices. Additionally, they can enjoy three months of free access to Kindle Unlimited when purchasing the Colorsoft.
Amazon is also introducing the Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Kids priced at £259. This kid-friendly version includes 12 months of Amazon Kids+, a child-friendly cover, and a 2-year worry-free guarantee. Amazon Kids+ subscription offers a wide selection of books and audiobooks for young readers, typically priced at £4.99 per month, but included for free with this Kindle.
The Colorsoft Kids features a colorful display, water-resistant design, and a built-in light for nighttime reading, aiming to encourage young readers to engage with books for longer periods. Amazon hopes that the addition of color will enhance the reading experience for young bookworms.
