“Apple iPhone 16e Price Hits Record Low Before iPhone 17 Launch”

Must read

Apple’s newest iPhone has hit its lowest price ever as the company gears up to introduce a new model to its smartphone range. Sky Mobile is offering the iPhone 16e for just £18, providing a significant discount for shoppers.

The tech giant has announced a live stream event scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, where it is anticipated to unveil the highly anticipated iPhone 17. Apple CEO Tim Cook teased the event by stating, “Get ready for an awe-inspiring #AppleEvent on Tuesday, September 9.”

While specific details remain undisclosed, viewers tuning into the live stream can anticipate the reveal of the updated iPhone 17 Pro and the rumored iPhone 17 Air. The new addition is expected to follow the trend of Apple’s other “Air” devices, featuring a sleeker and more compact design.

Tech enthusiasts eagerly anticipating the new Apple releases can take advantage of Sky Mobile’s current offer, making the existing iPhone 16e even more budget-friendly. Previously priced at £19, the £18 deal may seem modest, but it translates to a saving of £48 over the plan’s duration.

The iPhone 16e package includes 100MB of data as standard, with options to upgrade to larger data allowances like 50GB for £12 or unlimited data for £20. Sky Mobile typically offers 36-month contracts, allowing customers to upgrade to a new phone from 24 months without extra charges.

Sky Mobile isn’t the only retailer lowering prices ahead of the Apple event; Amazon has reduced the price of the iPhone 16e from £599 to £544 for customers looking to purchase outright. This pricing undercuts Apple’s own £599 price tag for the same model.

Apple introduced the iPhone 16e in February as a more affordable alternative to the standard iPhone 16, boasting powerful features powered by Apple’s latest A18 chip. The device sports a 6.1” Super Retina XDR display and incorporates advanced AI capabilities through Apple Intelligence, offering features like object removal from images and ChatGPT writing tools. Additionally, the iPhone 16e features a 48MP Fusion camera, 4K video recording with Dolby Vision, and safety functions such as Emergency SOS and Roadside Assistance.

Our Technology Editor, Dave Snelling, reviewed the iPhone 16e earlier this year, praising its premium design with toughened Ceramic Shield glass and aerospace-grade aluminum. The device’s 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR screen and powerful A18 processor, providing access to Apple Intelligence, impressed him, highlighting its superiority over older iPhone models.

However, Dave pointed out some drawbacks of the iPhone 16e, including the absence of features like Apple’s Dynamic Island notch, MagSafe charging, and the latest Ceramic Shield glass found in pricier models. Nonetheless, he recommended the iPhone 16e for those unconcerned by these extras, especially given the current attractive deals available.
