“Save Big with Asda’s New £3.74 Meal Deal!”

Must read

Asda has introduced its inaugural fixed-price meal deal, priced at £3.74 for a main course, snack, and beverage. This offer is accessible to all customers without the need for loyalty cards and replaces the previous three for two deal at Asda Food to Go counters.

According to the supermarket, shoppers can save up to 50% by opting for the meal deal instead of purchasing the items individually. The selection includes a variety of options, including Asda’s own-brand classics like the Chicken and Bacon Sandwich, as well as popular branded items such as Doritos crisps and Coca Cola Zero.

The fixed price covers all products in the food to go section, offering customers a choice of 132 mains, 336 snacks, and 222 drinks. In addition to larger Asda supermarkets, the meal deal is also available at all 478 Asda Express convenience stores.

Amy Wotherspoon, Asda’s Food to Go Buyer, emphasized the company’s commitment to providing excellent value for all customers. Asda’s best-selling main course is currently the Cheese & Onion Sandwich, priced at £1.42 and selling over 50,000 units weekly.

In comparison, Tesco has recently raised the price of its meal deal to £3.85, with the non-Clubcard rate now at £4.25. The premium meal deal at Tesco now costs £5.50 for Clubcard holders and £6 for non-members.

Sainsbury’s increased its meal deal price to £3.95 from £3.75, with the premium meal deal now at £5.50. Meanwhile, Morrisons offers a meal deal at £4 for a main course, snack, and side.

As part of a £180 million investment, Asda plans to revamp 180 in-store cafes, introducing digital ordering screens and table service alongside traditional tills. A new menu will feature items like smashed avocado on toast, katsu chicken curry, salad bowls, wraps, nachos, loaded fries, and a range of pizzas including margherita, pepperoni, American sizzler, and veggie supreme.
