Strictly Come Dancing stars Tasha Ghouri and Jamie Borthwick have been spotted heading back to their hotel together after they are reported to have ‘grown close’ on the show’s tour.
The pair are currently appearing on the live tour of the BBC dance competition following their participation in the 2024 series of the show. Tasha, 26, has thrown herself into the tour following her split from her boyfriend of three years, Andrew Le Page, who she met on Love Island back in 2022.
However, since their split earlier this month, the dancer has been spotted using a celebrity dating app to help her find love again as she looks towards the future. But it appears her Strictly co-stars are also helping keep her morale up as she and Jamie Borthwick were all smiles as they returned to their hotel in Birmingham.
As temperatures across the nation continued to plummet, Jamie, 30, wrapped up warm in a North Face coat and black joggers. Tasha, who closely followed the star opted for a dark hoodie and tracksuit bottoms as she put her hood up for the journey back to their hotel.
They were accompanied by GoCompare advert star, Wynne Evans, who opted for a more dressed-up look as he donned a white jacket, jeans and smart shoes for their outing after performing at a nearby arena. But it was fellow Strictly star Carlos Gu who recently speculated that there may be more to Tasha and Jamie’s friendship.
Taking to social media, he shared a video of Tasha and Jamie arm-in-arm backstage, writing: “Fresh couple in the making.” Tasha, who rocked a silver catsuit was all smiles as she gazed into Jamie’s eyes, who was wearing a green suit ahead of the performance.
Tasha previously explained that appearing on the show had boosted her confidence and personal growth. She finished as a runner-up in the series with her professional partner, Aljaz Skorjanec. But just weeks after finishing the programme, she was hit by heartache after deciding to call it a day with Andrew.
Just last year, the pair had purchased a house together and documented on social media their renovation journey. “Tasha was madly in love with Andrew but the cracks started to show when she appeared on Strictly,” a source told the Sun. “She gave her all in that competition. Her focus was purely on her dances with Aljaz and that drove a wedge between them as time went by.”
It’s said that the star is using pictures, taken by Andrew, on her dating profile. Despite once discussing marriage, with Tasha saying Andrew was her “future husband”, the pair spoke about walking away from one another at the start of January. But before taking part in Strictly, she admitted she wasn’t worried about the shows infamous curse.
She told the Sun: “It’s not a make-or-break for us. We’re going to breeze through this because we’re going to marry each other one day, you know.” Last month, she was asked if a proposal could be coming as she told OK!: “That’s a question for Andrew! But of course, there is no one else for me and Andrew is who I want to spend the rest of my life with.”
When asked if he was “The One”, she quipped: “Absolutely. I wouldn’t be with him otherwise. I’m so lucky to have such an amazing boyfriend.”
