Dancing on Ice has sent its first star packing in the 2025 series following a brutal twist.
The ITV show was back on screens on Sunday night (January 19) for a brand new episode – fronted by Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern.
Last week, saw the likes of Chris Taylor, Sam Aston and Ferne McCann take to the ice to show off their best moves. While this week, the remaining five celebs finally strapped on their skates to show the judges their skills.
EastEnders legend Charlie Brooks and Sir Steve Redgrave all performed, as well as Mollie Pearce, Dan Edgar and Josh Jones.
In a huge twist to the long-running ITV show though, instead of a skate-off, the star with the lowest score was automatically sent home. The lowest score was made up of the results of a public vote as well as the judge’s scores.
And for one famous face, their time in the competition came to an end. The celeb with the lowest score turned out to be Chelsee Healey. Reacting to her exit, Chelsee said: “It’s fine,” as she fought back the tears.
Holly said: “I think everyone is shocked actually to see you in this position.” Chelsee said: “Personally there’s been a lot going on with me that I’ve been struggling with so I couldn’t focus, but I’m just really grateful.”
Fans watching Dancing on Ice soon reacted to the shock voting twist. On X, one person said: “Getting rid of the dance-off is completely unfair because it puts one group at a disadvantage to the other.”
A second person wrote: “I do think the other skating couple should be given an extra week to skate , not really fair on them being voted out so quickly when it was their first week skating.”
Meanwhile other fans shared their thoughts on Chelsee’s exit. One viewer penned: “Chelsee really deserved more respect.” Someone else penned: “I feel sorry for Chelsee.” A third wrote: “No way should Chelsee have gone! She was incredible….not fair at all – Boo.”
Dancing on Ice airs every Sunday at ITV1.
