The Traitors fans are caught up in the BBC show craze ahead of the third series’ final week on our screens. However, it appears that the entertainment won’t cease when the current season concludes, with whispers of a celebrity edition of the show set to take place “sometime in 2025”.
The specifics, such as when it will be produced or aired, or who will participate, remain under wraps. Kalpna Patel-Knight, the BBC‘s head of entertainment, expressed: “The Traitors has well and truly established itself as an unmissable highlight of the year and the news of a fourth outing, alongside a brand new celebrity version coming to the BBC, will take the series to a whole new level.
“It will once again be fascinating for our audiences to see who’ll outwit, outplay, and outlast. Let the mind games begin!”
Following the announcement, speculation is rife about who might feature in the star-studded version of the beloved show.
However, one soap actress has thrown her hat into the ring, expressing her desire to participate. Lisa Riley, famed for her role as Mandy Dingle on ITV’s Emmerdale, shared her thoughts on what could transpire if she were to make a Traitors debut.
In an Instagram post, Lisa posted a selfie of herself clad in Traitors colours with a large hood up, captioning it: “Yes…Yes and Yes again to all your questions… I would love to do CELEBRITY TRAITORS,” reports the Express.
“I would be absolutely shot though, I would truly be laughing and giggling all the time. I would just love the experience.”
Coronation Street’s very own Michelle Connor, played by Kym Marsh, is all for joining the fun on The Traitors. She chimed in with a “Me tooooo!” to which Lisa responded, “We would have a bloody riot – it would be hilarious.”
Fans are buzzing at the thought, with one suggesting a dream team-up: “That would be amazing half Emmerdale cast and half Corrie! So much fun.”
Another fan gushed, “I think you would be amazing Lisa ! ! Xx,” and another couldn’t contain their excitement, saying, “We need to see it!” A supporter encouraged, “You should do it. You would be great at it.”
